QADER elects a new Board of Directors for the years 2025–2027.

In the presence of 21 members of the General Assembly of QADER for Community Development, 8 members of its Board of Directors, and several staff members including the General Director, the Programs Director, the Finance and Administration Director, and the Development, Monitoring, and Evaluation Director, QADER held its annual regular General Assembly meeting on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at QADER's headquarters in Beit Jala.
In her opening remarks, the Director General, Mrs. Lana Bandak, expressed deep concern over the catastrophic situation facing persons with disabilities in Palestine amid the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and the systematic escalation of military operations in the West Bank. She highlighted the severe impact these conditions have on persons with disabilities, especially considering that military operations have led to a significant increase in their numbers, while humanitarian and relief interventions remain scarce and fail to consider disability inclusion principles. This, she warned, only deepens their exclusion, marginalization, and the neglect of their basic needs and rights to protection and support.
During the meeting, QADER's 2024 annual financial and administrative reports were reviewed and unanimously approved. The 2025 financial and programmatic plans were also reviewed and approved. In addition, the continuation of the contract with the current external auditor, Ernst & Young, for 2025 was endorsed.
This was followed by the election of a new Board of Directors to succeed the outgoing board for the 2023–2024 term. The newly elected Board of Directors for the 2025–2027 term includes nine members: Shireen Mauge as Chairperson, Akram Amro as Vice Chair, Jiries Abu Ghanam as Treasurer, Mohammad Al-Qaisi as Secretary, and members Maram Abu Sa’da, Nicola Zereineh, Elham Asfour, Charlie Zaidan, and Mai Jaber.
