The Protection Program Delivers Training on the "Sounds of Change" Methodology for Local Partner Organizations in Hebron
The Protection Program at QADER for Community Development concluded yesterday (Wednesday) a specialized three-day training on the "Sounds of Change" methodology, bringing together 16 staff members from four local partner organizations in Hebron Governorate.
The "Sounds of Change" methodology uses arts, music, and body expression as tools to support communication and self-expression through a trauma-informed approach. It aims to create a safe environment that helps children reduce stress, regain a sense of safety, strengthen their ability to express themselves, and enhance communication with others.
The training sought to equip partner organizations with the knowledge and practical skills needed to apply this methodology in their future interventions with children, thereby promoting meaningful child participation within their organizations. Certificates of completion were awarded to participants at the end of the training.
This training forms part of a series of interventions implemented by QADER in collaboration with its partner organizations to strengthen the inclusion of children, including children with disabilities, in programs and services provided by these organizations. It also aims to enhance their institutional capacity to adopt more inclusive and child-responsive practices, ultimately improving the quality of services delivered to children.
The training was conducted under the project "Strengthening Children's Rights and Promoting their Inclusive Participation in the West Bank," implemented in partnership with Save the Children and funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).
