QADER signed a cooperation agreement to economically empower persons with disabilities in the town of Ubeidiya
QADER for Community Development signed, on Thursday, a cooperation agreement with Ubeidiya Municipality and the Local Association for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (Al-Amal Center), with the aim of financing and operating a productive kitchen specialized in pickle production. The initiative seeks to provide training, rehabilitation, and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, while promoting their inclusion in the labor market.
The agreement was signed by the Director General of QADER, Mrs. Lana Bandak; the Mayor of Ubeidiya, Mr. Ibrahim Rabaia’a; and the Head of the Local Association for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, Mr. Osama Al-Hassasneh, in the presence of Mrs. Wissam Safi, Director of Administrative Affairs; Mr. Riyad Al-Assa, Director General; and Mrs. Jihad Al-Assa, Head of the Rehabilitation Department.
For her part, Mrs. Bandak emphasized the importance of this partnership as a reflection of the complementarity of roles between Ubeidiya Municipality and the local rehabilitation association in supporting the economic empowerment of persons with disabilities. She highlighted the role of the initiative in providing an enabling environment that contributes to developing their skills and strengthening their productive capacities, thereby improving their living conditions and enhancing their inclusion in society.
