QADER and Ministry of Higher Education Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation

Dr. Sabri Seidam Minister of Education and Higher Education and Dr. Ahmed Fteiha QADER’s chairman signed a memorandum of cooperation for 2 years to work on several issues concerning the promotion of the Ministry’s role in institutionalizing students with disabilities’ issues at schools. This memorandum came in the framework of the project “Inclusive Development in Education, Protection and Health” implemented in partnership with the Italian Association for Solidarity among People – AISPO, and funded by The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and based on the Ministry’s priorities in raising the awareness about students with disabilities’ issues.

Under this Memorandum, QADER and Ministry shall cooperate on several issues including the development of the computerized data base for the General Administration for counselling and Special Education, promoting awareness on the rights of persons with disabilities at schools in connection with the Teacher Advisory Manual, and training of inclusive education counsellors on child protection, with special focus on children with disabilities.
