The Coalition is a coordinating framework that seeks to organize work among its member institutions that work on CEDAW and harmonize national laws and legislation with the Convention by working on follow-up and accountability mechanisms for the implementation of CEDAW in Palestine at all levels: governmental, non-governmental, and the private sector. The philosophy of the coalition is based on focusing on the process of activating the coalition to follow up the CEDAW agreement for non-governmental organizations, in addition to the process of coordination and networking at various levels with government institutions, so that all participating institutions in the coalition work to defend the protection of the basic rights of women and girls based on CEDAW

The coalition was formed for the purpose of preparing and following up the shadow report under the leadership of the General Union of Palestinian Women, and it consists of (70) human rights and women’s institutions, trade unions and feminist frameworks that work in terms of advocacy, protection and empowerment of women in the social, economic, political, health, educational, legal, local and international fields and the rights of people with disabilities, in All of the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
