QADER for Community Development, through its membership representing Palestine in the Arab Network for Child Rights – Manara, participated in the strategic planning workshop for the network for the period 2024-2026 via Zoom. The workshop was represented by the young girls: Rand Ajarma and Sarah Ghabash.

The workshop aimed to prepare and lead the conference for launching the advocacy strategy, amplifying the voice of Palestinian children, and highlighting the severe violations children in Palestine face. These sessions were organized by the Arab Network for Child Rights – Manara, which held meetings in Istanbul, Turkey, at the end of December 2023.

During the workshop, Rand and Sarah presented the exceptional conditions of children in occupied Palestine, addressing the most prominent violations committed by the occupation, including killing, arrest, assault, siege, school closures, and health and psychological conditions. They especially highlighted the military aggression and genocide that children in Gaza are experiencing.

Additionally, Rand Ajarma was elected to a special committee within the network to work on designing interventions that promote genuine children's participation in child rights activities, led by children themselves.
