QADER launched the project” Access & Participation of SwD in HE”

In partnership with Hebron and Al-Quds Universities, QADER for Community Development launched the project “ Access & Participation of Students with Disabilities (SwD) in higher education” project funded by Catholic Relief Services (Civic Participation Program).

The project aims at enhancing the access and participation of SwD in higher education institutions, and comprises of: forming a disability affairs committee, reviewing and amending university’s policies to meet SwD rights in achieving higher education, developing plans that reflect partner universities’ visions in dealing with the rights and needs of SwD, establishment of a resource center provided with equipments and supplies needed to facilitate University life for SwD, raising awareness on PwD issues and rights in higher education, and empowering SwD.
