Palestinian Disability Coalition
The Palestinian Disability Coalition was established in December 2017. It aims to strengthen and support the institutionalization and organization of the disability sector from organizations of persons with disabilities and NGOs working in the disability sector and to create a pressing force to put the issues and rights of persons with disabilities on the national agenda and within all elements and factors involved in decision-making processes as part of a unified and integrated institutional effort: to mobilize efforts to enforce the rights of persons with disabilities in national legislation and relevant international conventions through mobilization, awareness, institutional capacity-building, monitoring, data collection, networking and advocacy: and to bring about the necessary changes in awareness, policies, legislation and related practices through collective institutional action based on professionalism, complementarity, responsibility in prevailing public interest.

The Palestinian Disability Coalition includes 28 organizations and institutions, 14 DPOs in the Gaza Strip, 9 DPOs in the West Bank, and 5 active and specialized civil society organizations in the field of the rights and services of persons with disabilities at the Palestinian national level:

Palestinian General Union of People with Disabilities – Bethlehem and Ramallah Branches, Bethlehem Arab society for Rehabilitation, The East Jerusalem YMCA – Rehabilitation Program, QADER for Community Development, Disabilities Representative Persons Network – DRBN (Gaza) ( 14 DPOs), Al Nahda Women Association, Star Mountain Rehabilitation Center, Aswat Association to Support the rights of persons with intellectual disabilities, Palestinian Medical Relief Society – PMRS, Community Based Rehabilitation Program – CBR /Middle of Palestine, Stars of Hope Society, Palestinian Union for Deaf, Charitable Society for the Deaf, Al Dahriya Youth Association and The High Coordination Committee of Local Committees in the West Bank.
